Searcy County to Receive an Incubator Kitchen
The Searcy County Fair Association in Marshall raised money and received a USDA grant to install one of a very few incubator kitchens in the state! Simply stated, this will allow farm producers, gardeners, and cooks to lease kitchen equipment to produce food products in a certified kitchen for sale to the public!
No matter how good your jelly, fudge, or special BBQ sauce is, it cannot be sold in a store unless it meets health code and is produced in a certified kitchen. This new kitchen will allow people to sell and market their own food products. Tourists crave local products when they visit Arkansas. Local products make great gifts to send to our friends and family away from here. This means more money in our local economy!
Since there are very few public-access certified kitchens in the state, this new Share Grounds: Kitchen Incubator will bring people to Marshall from surrounding counties to cook their products! Recruiting clients now for the new Share Ground Kitchen in Marshall! Please let us know your interest in preparing food for the commercial, retail market. Looking for clients from all over Arkansas! Kitchen open for leasing by early January. Please fill out the form here.
